  1. Hello Curtis,
I found this article very informative. I myself take turmeric everyday to help with inflammation and joint pain. I had no idea there were so many other benefits. I learned a lot from this article and can tell you have really dug deep into this subject and did thorough research.
I’ll be sure to continue taking my turmeric on daily basis!
    All the best,
    Devara

    • Awesome!. I am glad you found it interesting and informative. I agree it is a great natural supplement for many issues. I take it mainly for increasing low testosterone and type 2 diabetes and am seeing tremendous benefit.
Thanks again and best of luck to you!

  2. I have a restaurant supply store near me that sells Tumeric by the pound and I can get quite a lot for a low price but it is restaurant/cooking quality. Is this something I could make pills in veggie caps and get the same benefit as a supplement I would buy?
Do you know if using tumeric as a rub on meats and as a spice in cooking can have health benefits or do we have to consume it from a supplement? (probably not getting enough, right?)
And one more thing – I laughed when I saw your recommendation to use turmeric as a skin treatment since when I cook with it I am careful to wear gloves or it will turn my nails yellow!

    • As far as the restaurant Turmeric, if you want to use turmeric effectively, buy organic high quality ground turmeric or fresh turmeric root from the produce section (found in natural food stores like Whole Foods).
As to your skin, turmeric will temporarily stain your skin, so this works best on body parts that you can cover easily or don’t mind being orange for a little while!
Turmeric will also stain clothing and dishes, so use carefully. People even use it as a dye.
I wouldn’t use just turmeric as a rub but here is a great rub recipe, including turmeric:

Serves: 1/3 cup dry rub mix

      Ingredients:
      2 tablespoons cumin
      1 tablespoon turmeric
      1 tablespoon coriander
      1 teaspoon cardamom
      1 teaspoon garam masala
      ½ teaspoon ginger
      ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper pepper
      black pepper, to taste
      sea salt, to taste

      Directions:
Mix all ingredients well. Store any unused portion in airtight container.

  3. As a Herbologist, I am always spouting the magic of healing from plants, flowers and even weeds. There are always at least 3 or 4 things in nature that can be used as cures for any number of problems. Turmeric is certainly one of the more colourful. I really enjoyed your article.
    Cheers Coucka

I am definitely going to get some turmeric in my body system on a daily basis. Actually, I’ve come across turmeric because of an MLM company, would you recommend purchasing from an MLM company or should I just purchase one off Amazon?

    • Turmeric is awesome and has so many benefits. I would not recommend buying from any MLM. They are just there to make money and don’t typically care about their customers. I would stick with Amazon since they have a great selection.
